Philips Medical Systems is, among many other
things, a manufacturer of 'home access' defibrillators. These
defibrillators are designed for the everyday consumer and are
placed in public access areas such as pools, ballparks, schools,
etc. in order to provide the average public access to potentially
life saving technology.
The city of Sunnyvale, CA has been involved in a Public Access
Defibrillator (PAD) program for 11 years and uses Philips HeartStart
Defibrillators. In celebration of the many lives now saved by
the PAD program and by Philips technology, Philips and the City
of Sunnyvale organized a Survivor Reunion Event in the Spring
of 2003.
LUX Media was honored to be chosen by Philips as the resource
they trusted most with the filming of their ceremony. We brought
a camera crew and photographer down to Sunnyvale to capture
the amazing stories of the survivors and document this historic
event. We still have goose bumps!
We produced streaming versions of the interviews we did, as well as a highlights reel of the entire ceremony for their sales team members who couldn't be there. We also packaged a DVD version for them (we do that too). If only every corporate gig was this fulfilling!
